All carving materials such as hammers, chisels, and stone are included.

Prices include 6-night stay in one of the apartments at Casa d'Era, and a 5-days stone carving course, including all materials necessary for the course.

Transport

Transport to and from Casa d'Era. (It can be arranged at an additional fee)

Meals

Meals are not included. All apartments have fully equipped kitchens and markets are nearby.

Safety gear

It is advisable to bring your own safety equipment such as eye protection, ear protection, gloves and safety shoes.

This stone carving holiday will mainly consist of live stone carving sessions under Athar’s personal guidance. You will be able to carve under his attentive eye and share your learning process with passionate fellow carvers. With the aim of feeding both the mind and the body, the week is balanced between education and relax. Each day will consist of 6 hours of lessons. Three hours in the morning and three hours in the afternoon. The sculpting day will end at 18:00, after which you can jump straight into the pool and enjoy a Tuscan aperitif before dinner.

All carving materials will be provided and are included in the price.

About the venue

Casa d’Era’s is an independent borough, located at Lajatico, in the countryside of Tuscany, about 20 Km from Volterra, 30 from San Gimignano, 40 from the shoreline, 50 kms away from Pisa, 70 from Siena, 80 from Firenze and Lucca.
Casa d’Era consists of eight fully autonomous apartments each equipped independent air conditioning and heating systems, bathroom, satellite tv and a kitchen furnished with a microwave oven, dishwasher and refrigerator. They are both suited for intimate couples or families. There is also a wide range of additional services available, among them an outdoors swimming pool, laundry area and parking to further enjoy your Tuscan vacations.
