About your instructor
Athar Jaber is a professional stone sculptor and an Associate Professor at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp, where he has been teaching stone carving for over 12 years. He has a PhD in the Arts and has served as a visiting professor at many international art academies and institutions such as Florence’s Art Academy, Florence’s Opificio delle Pietre Dure, Madrid’s University, the University of Ghent, Zurich’s ETH, and Havana’s Institute of Art.
Beside his teaching commitments, Athar Jaber has established international career in the contemporary art scene. He exhibited in various international venues around the world such as Washington D.C., Miami, Dubai, London, Berlin, Prague, Zurich, Rome, Florence, Havana among many others.
